de Hofman silver box

A silver dressing-table box, engraved with the arms of Captain Ernst Halchuss of Aabjerg (1743-1806) and his wife Karin Elisabeth de Hofman (1747-1821), daughter of Jens de Hofman. The box is made by Peder Nielsen Satterup, Fredericia, circa 1720, with maker's mark and indistinct date or standard mark. The measurement is 7.2 cm. long and the weight 54 gr. This piece was sold at Christies on 2007-04-04 for USD 449.00.
