Sören de Hofman

Sören de Hofman was born 1688 and died in 1771. He was the owner of the Skerrildgaard estate on Jutland.

He was the the sole son of Thöger Hofman (1648-1692), owner of Gunderupgaard estate and son of Doctor Sören Hofman (1600-1649).

Sören Hofman was ennobled on the 29th of January 1749 and took up the de Hofman weapon. He had nine children together with Karen Elisabeth Dreyer, a daughter of Hans Dreyer and Johanne Marie Poulsen.

The most famous of his sons are Hans de Hofman, Tycho de Hofman and Niels de Hofman.
