Sources

The key sources for the historical data on this website have been the the books by Tycho de Hofman and Peder Lasson - "Danske Adelmænd" and "Fundationer...." by Peder Lasson. The book 'Borgmester Niels Jacobsens Stambog' by Albert Fabritius has also been instrumental. This book is a re-work of the famous 'Stambog' produced by Niels Jacobsen in 1609 and later continued by his ancestors. The original book resides at Museum of Cultural History in Randers, Denmark. Furthermore, the entire history of the current Hofman-Bang family is taken from Niels Hofman-Bang and Erik Hofman-Bang's book "Slaegten Hofman-Bang". For a list of all sources to this site go here.
